Making Memories One Game at a Time With the NY Mets #MetsMoms

IMG_4206Now that baseball season has returned, my boys are thrilled that the NY Mets are back and better than before. Most of you already know that we are long standing Mets fans but as a mom, there are plenty more reasons for me to love the NY Mets. For one, the organization cares about its fans. There are so many memories made at the stadium that make a trip into Queens to see a game totally worth it.
My family had the privilege of witnessing this year’s first Mets #FamilySunday home game at Citi Field. While my kids have been to Citi Field in the past, every experience is unique and exciting for them and April 19th was no exception. It was the also the second Matt Harvey start at home this year, which is always an event not to be missed. My five year old is a huge Mets fan so whenever we get to go see a live game, he is undoubtable thrilled.
It goes without saying that we enjoyed watching our home team win, and my kids had a thrilling time cheering them on. Both boys loved the kids area where they got to play tee ball and watch themselves hitting on the “big screen.” My son also discovered that the Mets now sell a batting helmet full of popcorn (a staple food at any Mets game) and so instead of being able to take home a souvenir mini helmet filled with ice cream, this time we all had the chance to enjoy some popcorn after which he took home his life-sized helmet souvenir.
I think it goes without saying that both of my boys had quite an experience at Citi Field. Of course, the highlight of their day was running the bases after another Mets win. IMG_4194
The truth is, the Mets organization takes pride in making a day at the ballpark one of the best for even their youngest fans.  My kids feel the energy all over the stadium, and as a parent, I love watching their eyes light up with every cheer from the crowd or while singing in the 7th inning stretch.  Making memories with my family is undoubtedly the one thing I live for and the NY Mets have a way of turning every day at the ball park into just that.
