If You Can Do It, So Can I! #RunDisney #DisneyKids

{ disclosure:  I attended a #DisneyKids Preschool FAM Tour, where a portion of our expenses and lodging were covered by the Walt Disney Company.  The invitation did not include an agreement for coverage or posting, nor were we compensated for this post.  All images were taken with the #Nikon #D3300, a gift from Nikon, the newly announced Official Camera of Walt Disney World and Disneyland. As always, all opinions expressed here are my very own  }

If I was ever to run, I’d definitely do it to do a runDisney race.  In fact, it’s inspired me to at least wishfully consider doing the Disney Princess ½ Marathon. That’s HUGE!  I mean how cute are the medals?!  Not to mention all the Disney Magic surrounding the event!  My husband is completely on board with me doing a runDisney Race and has even promised to do it with me, although he may change his mind when I tell him the race I want to tackle first is the Disney Princess ½, although the Disney ½ Wine & Dine sounds pretty fabulous too — run then EAT to my hearts content!  Yes, the intent is there, but I’m still lacking in motivation to even get started training.

13257288063_bd669d94d6_cThat is until our recent #DisneyKids Preschool Tour where my little ones got in on all the runDisney fun at the amazing ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex!  I was super excited to see how this could be a total family affair!  From the Diaper Dash to 100m, 200m and 400m Kids Races, there’s something for kids 8 and under to join in the fun.  What I love about the Kids Races is that everyone goes home a winner with an adorable finisher medallion and who doesn’t like having Mickey or one of his friends at every race cheering them on! As you can see Luca loves his medal!  After seeing the age groups for the Kids Races, I am super proud of my 4 year old and 6 year old (sorry, must toot — 1st place!) for finishing the 400m!  We may have some runners in the family!

In a few weeks, my family and I will be heading to the amazing Disney Social Media Moms conference being held at Disneyland, where I will get a chance to run my very first runDisney, albeit smaller race.  If my kids can do it, than so can I!  I’m super excited to be doing it and who knows, it may lead to the start of this >> http://as1.wdpromedia.com/media/ewwos/pdf/rundisney/training-programs/2014/WDWHalf14_Beg.pdf
