A Little Pixie Dust by Disney Paint #DisneyPaintMom

With Baby #3 on the way, there was a lot of anxiety among the children about this big addition to their lives.  We wanted to find a way to make each child feel special in their own way and know that they were very loved.  My little princess, unbeknownst to her, was truly going to be our little princess as Baby #3 is another boy.  This year she started kindergarten, where her formal education begins.  She had been asking for a desk to do her homework at and we thought this was a great opportunity for us to re-paint her room and create a little study nook for her right before Baby arrives.  We didn’t have to ask twice if she wanted to paint her room with a little Disney magic.

As huge Disney fans, we were thrilled to find out out that Walmart sells an exclusive new line of Disney Paints that are really affordable and fun.  They have an amazing selection of 5 specialty finishes that really brings the magic of Disney into your home and a 112 exclusive colors grouped into palettes designed to give your children options at every stage of style – from infant to tween.

glitter1Being on bed rest made it a little difficult for me to trek out to Walmart for a shopping excursion, but I was so happy to find out that Walmart had a convenient Site to Store  program, perfect for this bed-bound mom.  I was able to see the entire selection online at: DisneyPaint.com and make my purchase online. I loved noting that Disney Paint is low odor and has no VOCs, very important for a child’s room, especially with a new baby on the way.  I didn’t want to be smelling the fumes for weeks to come.  Expecting nothing less from Disney, it is a premium-quality, ultra-durable paint, similar to an eggshell finish, that was formulated with your  child in mind to withstand wear and tear, as well as repeated scrubs and washes.  Finding inspiration for her base coat was as easy as looking for her favorite new Disney accessory, her new Jenny cross-body bag by Disney It’s a Small World Collection for LeSportsac.  Her final color choice?  Sleeping Beauty Pink from the Disney Princess Colors palette.

Wanting to include Little Miss A in the entire process, after giving her all her options, she appropriately decided on the All that Glitters finish for her newly redecorated room (as if she would choose any other finish!).  Within a few clicks, I had the ordered processed and shipped to my neighborhood Walmart store for pick up.  While the husband was suppose to pick up the paint at the store, things came up and this bedridden, very pregnant mom was able to drive to Walmart, run in and out within 15 minutes with completed order in hand.

Guess who’s excited to have her room redone?!
