The NY Mets Present Their Inaugural Women’s Baseball Clinic #MetsMoms
One of my all time favorite movies as a teen was A League of Their Own, a tale about a women’s professional baseball league that took place during World War II. I know I’m not alone in wishing that I could have the chance to play baseball.
This year, the Mets are making that dream a reality!
Finally, here’s the opportunity we’ve all been waiting for! On Sunday, July 6th, the New York Mets are hosting their first ever Women’s Baseball Clinic at Citi Field! All participants will be given tips and instruction from the actual Mets coaching staff. Whether you are a seasoned player, or someone that hasn’t picked up a bat since summer camp as a kid (like me), this is a once in a lifetime experience.
This inaugural event will begin with an interactive clinic on the field with the current Mets coaches. There will also be a Q&A session with the coaches, broadcasters, and front office members. If you ever wanted to know the difference between a slider and a changeup, this is your chance to find out, and maybe even learn how to throw it! Following the on field activities, there will be an exclusive all-you-can-eat brunch in the Caesar’s club. Of course, all participants will then receive Caesar’s club box seats, to watch the Mets take on the Texas Rangers, a rare interleague matchup that is sure to be thrilling! In addition, all participants will be given a unique souvenir and gift bag to commemorate this special event.
Tickets are $100, and include all of the above mentioned activities, plus free parking! Additional tickets for guests are $60 each, and include the all-you-can-eat brunch and seat for the game. The event begins at 8am. Spots are limited, so please act fast!
