Marching to the beat of your own drum with #Bose Soundlink Mini #VZWBuzz

BoseSoundLink What ever happened to sound systems?  You know the full surround sound with woofers and giant speakers.  I don’t know how it happened or even when it happened but they have completely disappeared from our home.  It was a profoundly sad realization especially when I’ve always thought our lives should be put to music.  You know like in movies.  Am I the only one that thinks that?  For me music has always been an emotional expression.  Just like Meredith and Christina on Grey’s Anatomy, I’ve been known to break out into a spontaneous dance.  I didn’t even need a dance partner.  I remember when I lived on my own for the very first time, in a tiny alcove studio apartment.  I was terrified.  I had never been alone before.  At the same time it was thrilling.  I remember being scared one night and then turning on my sound system, putting on a favorite dance track and turning it up, feeling the music all the way to my core and just dancing and dancing and dancing.  I forgot all about being scared and really began loving my new self, with my big girl apartment.  I remember when we lost Emma.  The profound sadness I felt that only could be soothed by Chasing Cars.  These were the emotions I couldn’t express but could be felt in music.

I miss the music.  Nowadays music for us was reserved to car rides.  Yes I still turn up the music when a great song comes on and my kids love it.  I love seeing them bounce to a beat.  My husband always says it’s because I’m always dancing to my own beat and they remember it when they were in utero.  Yes I danced even when I was pregnant and supposedly on bed-rest.  Sometimes I just needed a pick me up and nothing cheers me up better than a good song I can sing at the top of my lungs and dance to.  I always went into a giggle fit when my husband would “catch” me dancing.

I do miss the music so.  We’ve become such a mobile generation, sound systems have become obsolete and more for the true connoisseur of sound.  I’m all for moving forward and new technology but everything is now in the “cloud” and music was that much unreachable.  Imagine the excitement I had when I was gifted the Bose Soundlink Mini recently.  I kept saying OMG OMG OMG and my husband told me to get a grip.  I was so excited.  This little unassuming box that fits in the palm of your hand was a disguised powerhouse.  I already know Bose was known for their incredible sound but this ultra-portable bluetooth speaker was AAAAHMAZING!  Lucas’ favorite song is American Author’s Best Day of my Life and we just played it over and over again just to watch his little baby butt bop to the beat.  These kids, are definitely my kids.  My Marcus started breakdancing with his sister.  Music was pumping in their blood.  They couldn’t get enough and I was beaming from ear to ear.  We had music again thanks to the Bose Soundlink Mini!  We now can play music from any device – laptop, tablets, smartphones – anywhere and everywhere.
