When MomConfessionals was asked to check out a recently opened restaurant in Garden City, we were all too happy to oblige. After all, who would pass up the opportunity to try some tasty new foods, let alone pasta dishes? It was an offer us foodies were happy to receive.
I was fortunate to have a private tasting with my husband last Saturday night and I’m so glad that we were able to share the experience.
To say our experience was catered to our liking is easy, given the personal attention you will get when you eat at Noodles & Company. While our hostess described the dining experience as “fast casual”, I felt it was way more than that. Yes, it had the vibe of casual dining, but the service, quality, and made to order meals made us feel as though we were fine dining. The option of pairing beers, wines, or in our case, sangria with our dishes, provided us with an added sense of eating an expensive full course dinner without the full course costs.
Basically, the way it works is that you choose from a variety of dishes, including but not limited to soups, salads and an array of pastas, and after you place your order exactly how you’d like it, you can take a seat and it will be delivered to your table.
While you have many options to customize your meals to your specifications, including vegetarian and gluten free dishes, I played it safe with a dish I always eat, Pad Thai with added shrimp. My husband, on the other hand, chose a more adventurous Indonesian Peanut Sauté. We also chose their rustic Hummus platter appetizer along with a tomato and cucumber salad.
After ordering our meal, we were handed a number to place on our table. We sat down and within 5 minutes our meals had arrived, looking, and smelling amazing.
Each dish was impressively tasty, and while it’s hard to describe how delicious they were, I can assure you, they taste as good as they look.
Our appetizers and pasta dinners were so filling that we barely had room for dessert, but we just couldn’t pass up a chance to share a piece of chocolate cake. It was the perfect way to end what was a wonderful palate pleasing meal, and we left that night discussing what dish we would like to try out on our next visit to Noodles & Company. With so many choices, it’s hard NOT to please everyone in your dinner party.
