More than Perfect Personalization with 76th & Newbury

When it comes to buying gifts I just love finding that perfect personal gift with that extra touch. Yes there are sites like Etsy, which will still remain a favorite go to, but when 76th & Newbury approached me for a partnership, I was just giddy with glee!  How did they know that I was looking for a personalized travel map?! If you’ve been following along with my blog, you know that my daughter and I just started our travel bucket list and the bug has hit big in this family now. I looked and looked for the perfect Travel […]

What is Coming to America’s Largest Indoor Waterpark @kalahariresorts

Only a 1.5 hour ride outside of New York City, and tucked away in what I can only describe as a beautifully landscaped and very secluded property, is one of the largest indoor water parks in America, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. Having never been to an indoor water park, we were excited to see what the hype was all about and after our stay last weekend, I think it’s safe to say our family has found a perfect slice of summer in the middle of a long New York winter. Kalahari Resorts & Conventions opened their Pennsylvanian doors in 2015 and […]

About Ellie Beatus

After spending the bulk of my childhood in New Jersey, I've had the privilege of living in many different places all over the world. I have experienced many incredible things in my life, but none as amazing as when I become a mom. I may work as a full time registered nurse, but I am also a full time mother. I believe that there is nothing more important in the world than my family, and I cherish every moment spent with them. I hope to be able enrich my children's lives by sharing in wonderful experiences, teaching them life lessons, and nurturing them as they grow and help to make the world a better place for all of us. (Ellie currently resides in Long island, NY with her two young sons and husband)

LONDON Kid Eats!

You’ve gotta EAT! In addition to sightseeing and shopping, you’ve got to immerse yourself in the food in London. Having only been in London for a total of 4.25 days, we didn’t get the full experience I would have liked and of course I was travelling with a 9 year old with a very particular palate. We took a slightly different approach to eating in London that many might have gone a different route… but it worked for us! Since my daughter’s favorite foods are things like chicken nuggets, fries and mac and cheese, I knew there was going to […]

LONDON: Getting Around

If you’re planning on staying pretty central to London, I wouldn’t suggest renting a car for the following reasons: Unless you’re comfortable driving on the other side of the road, its best not to learn on the busy streets of London. Drivers are pretty aggressive with tight turns and closely following people on bikes and cards. Traffic can be insane at times in London All you really need is an Oyster card! For first time visitors to London, I really found doing a Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour bus a great way to get a quick overview of the […]

LONDON: Shopping!

I’m not going to deny it. I had an entire shopping plan laid out. Interspersed between sightseeing and eating, I thought of all the cool London designers. My goal was to acquire the perfect souvenirs from our trip and things that I could not get in the US. I mean really, shopping is an intricate part of visiting London. My list started as such: Harrods Selfridges Reiss Hamley’s Toy Shop Burberry Factory Outlet Boxpark Radleys With neighborhoods to explore like: Covent Garden Camden Market Picadilly Circus Regent Street Oxford Street Bond Street VAT – VALUE ADDED TAX The first think […]

LONDON: First Impressions

Growing up I watch my dear aunt take my cousin, her only child, all over the world. These weren’t your usual jaunts to the beach or Disney World. Rather she went to Mallorca, Greece, Spain, the Gallapagos Islands. I smiled when my aunt told me she knew my cousin was no genius, not that she wasn’t smart, but she wasn’t extraordinary in anything that would make her monetarily wealthy of sorts, so she decided, waste not on education but rather travel and let her see the world. I thought to myself, what an amazing gift, the gift of travel. When […]

Trust Merck, Trusted by Professionals Since 1899 and Now You!

There was a time, long ago, before I was in the medical field that any medical talk would leave me flustered and feeling really stupid. I hated feeling like that and thus avoided any conversations that related to science or medicine and even avoiding doctors in general. Of course at some point in your life, you’ll need one and can’t avoid the conversation. Not understanding simple things when a doctor was talking to me and needing to have blind faith that they had my best interest at heart was scary for me. In part I blame my crazy need to […]

If you haven’t seen it yet, one of the most revolutionary phones to come to market is the Moto Z Force Droid Edition. Obviously, right in the name, you know it’s Motorola and it is exclusive to Verizon Wireless.  I have dubbed this phone the Great Multitasker. Operating on  Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, it is packed full of useful features like optimization of battery to the fingerprint reader. But the coolest feature of all, is that it is part of a modular system that helps you transform your phone at any given moment. It’s got serious WOW factor…and we LOOOOVE the MODS! […]
