Precision Crafted Performance, Acura’s All New 2017 MDX

My husband and I are super excited for the New York International Auto Show this year. It’s been a yearly tradition for us to go and check out this amazing show that fills 4 floors of the Jacob Javits Convention Center with over 1,000 cars and trucks, my “compromise” of a date night, although I secretly love the show. My family is addicted to leasing cars. We own one car, but with young children, it’s always so nice to have a new car on the horizon every couple of years. Tell me you don’t feel the same, my kids are little tornadoes and my car interiors are usually disgusting in a years time. It just makes sense for our family right now but we reserve the right to change our minds as they get older. Until then, the prospect of a new car is always so exciting!

This year we are most excited to check out the all new 2017 Acura MDX. For 2 consecutive lease periods we loved our MDXs — until we outgrew it. With 3 kids under the age of 8 where an infant car seat, convertible and a booster is a necessity, we needed a bigger car. When we got our next car, while it functionally was what we needed – bigger at a comparable price, I was sadly disappointed it was missing all the bells and whistles we had become accustomed to from our MDX. Acura really sets the bar high for quality and style. I learned quickly that we were spoiled as many of those bells and whistles were standard on the MDX and obviously not in our current car. Let me tell you, it is NOT easy adjusting when you’ve become accustomed to the finer things.

As our family is getting older, the car seats are becoming a thing of the past — down to one convertible car seat and a booster! — making more room for each passenger. One of our leases is almost up and we are definitely checking out the Acura MDX again and that’s exciting stuff.

What I miss most about the Acura was the beauty and the quality you could feel throughout the car. Simple things like preset seat settings I miss, and power driver and passenger seat adjustments and a nice crisp clear rear back camera. From the looks of the preview released by Acura, this newly anticipated 2017 Acura MDX will not disappoint.  It looks like a BEAST!
