Never Out of Range with Verizon 4G LTE #VZWBuzz

14386431766_879c02096e_bThere just seems to be endless reasons why you should never leave your phone behind.  I, for one, would most definitely be lost without mine.  I’m relatively new to the whole camping scene, and while I’m still more of a glamping kind of girl, Verizon Wireless has some great suggestions of must have apps to take with you as you get one with nature, including:

  • AllTrails {FREE}
    AllTrails is THE app for finding trails nearest you. Browse through 50,000 trail guides (United States & Canada) for outdoor activities including everything from hiking and mountain biking to fly-fishing and snowshoeing.
  • Planetarium {FREE}
    Easily and quickly identify and locate stars, planets, constellations, galaxies with your personal telescope to the wonders in the night sky.  I’m so use to seeing the city lights, counting stars is going to be mind blowing.
  • Camping Trip Planner {99¢}
    Configurable camping planner with everything needed for any outdoor camping trip. Comes pre-populated with more than 225 camper items. This is all you need to ensure you don’t forget anything.  Yep, it’s perfect for me!
  • Spyglass {FREE}
    This application allows you to use your device camera to emulate a spyglass. It provides a very simple method to increase or decrease the zoom of your mobile or tablet.  Pretty neat-o for a nature lesson!
  • MyNature Animal Tracks {$4.99}
    View actual tracks in the wild, reference illustrated gait patterns, range maps, digital images of animals and listen to each animals vocalization. Search by track size and shape in seven different illustrated categories to identify over 46 animals across North America.  Hrmmm, only if I plan on getting that close to nature.
