Spending Father’s Day with the Mets!

photoFor Father’s Day this year, I had the difficult task of figuring out what to get my husband to show him how much the kids and I appreciate and love him. When the opportunity to take the family to a NY Mets game arose, I simply couldn’t pass it up. I knew there was nothing better than giving my husband the chance to watch his favorite team with his boys from field level seats right behind the 3rd baseline.

From the minute we arrived, our 3 year old was beyond excited to cheer for his team and was walking through the stadium screaming “Let’s go Mets!” We eagerly sat down and got settled in our seats and in no time, we were all engrossed in the game. The Mets never cease to amaze and we were all kept on the edge of our seats until the 9th inning when they came back for a win with a walk off home run.

As mentioned in my previous post about this experience, Citi Field was more than accommodating to my family. With small children in tow, we often find it a bit difficult to navigate with so many necessities, such as bags and strollers. The Mets make it relatively easy for you to have strollers in the stadium and even provide you with an area for stroller storage right by your seats.

photo-2The Mets cares about their fans, and treated Dads to special tee-shirts to commemorate Father’s Day. They are constantly emailing deals and promotions that show their fans how valued they are. The employees in the stadium are all courteous, helpful and make your experience a pleasant one. Spending your day at Citi Field, and watching Mets baseball is just that – an experience – one that all families can enjoy.  As a #MetsMoms, I am excited to be sharing with you exclusive deals and opportunities from the NY Mets.  So continue to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and #MetsMoms for more information!

{ disclosure:  I am a #MetsMoms Blogger and received complimentary tickets to attend the Father’s Day game.  No other compensation was received. }

About Ellie Beatus

After spending the bulk of my childhood in New Jersey, I've had the privilege of living in many different places all over the world. I have experienced many incredible things in my life, but none as amazing as when I become a mom. I may work as a full time registered nurse, but I am also a full time mother. I believe that there is nothing more important in the world than my family, and I cherish every moment spent with them. I hope to be able enrich my children's lives by sharing in wonderful experiences, teaching them life lessons, and nurturing them as they grow and help to make the world a better place for all of us. (Ellie currently resides in Long island, NY with her two young sons and husband)
