REVIEW: ProFlowers.com and so much more

This month we had a chance to check out Proflowers.com part of the RedEnvelope family of companies, just in time for Valentine’s Day, one of a florist’s biggest holidays.  Ordering flowers from the internet has always had me raising my eyebrows.  Back in the days an internet florist order left you guessing what your recipient may receive.  You may have ordered a beautifully staged photo arrangement and what ends up at your recipient is an interpretation or your local florists version in the price range you paid.  I’ve been burned a few times both as a giver and a recipient.

succulent_potThe reviews for ProFlowers.com are glowing though and had me willing to give internet floral purchases another chance.  Using their own growers, they promise only the freshest of flowers will land on your doorsteps with a 7 day Freshness Guarantee.  What I loved is that the selection has expanded so much more than just floral arrangements.  Especially given since living in NYC has me admiring fancy floral arrangements that seem only for the rich and famous and include more creative gifts like exotic plants and succulents.   Proflowers.com has traditional arrangements and edible goodies like Chocolate Covered Strawberries which make for the most complete and thoughtful gifts.  I ordered a beautiful Succulent Garden in an equally gorgeous 4″ bamboo box and indulged in some chocolate covered berry bites.  It was the perfect pick me up for this mom on bed rest.  Not to mention my Succulent Garden will last for much much longer than the 7 day guarantee.  My favorite feature of this site is being able to choose your delivery date and window making all the elements of a surprise gift in your control.

You know I love a good bargain andProflowers.com is very transparent with their discounts.  They list all their promotions on their site at: http://www.proflowers.com/coupon-codes.aspx.  You can of course also Google ProFlowers.com coupon codes, discounts, etc.,  and don’t forget to use Ebates.com for an additional 6% cash back! DEAL DEAL STEAL!

{ disclosure : I received no compensation for this post, but got a gift card I could use towards a purchase.  I paid the difference, shipping and tax myself, using of course my combination of discount codes and Ebates.com for a great gift just for me. }
