REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Bringing out the inner animator with the Disney Creativity Studio

photo 1 Just in time when the kidlets were getting a little stir crazy this LOOOOONG winter break, we opened a magical package revealing the new Disney Creativity Studio.  The kids were so excited.  What is it?  Can I open it?  What does it do?  Whose is it?  It’s mine!  No, it’s mine!  Mickey is for boys and Minnie is for girls, it’s mine!  There’s a princess on it too!  And then daddy snatched it up.  He mouthed silently, “LIFESAVER!”  After a week of being cooped up, Little Miss A was begging to go to work with daddy and well daddy, always busy, busy, busy at work, finally relented but was packing a suitcase (arsenal) of activities to keep her busy ALL day long.  The iPad was the first thing packed.  While I was resistant to declare it Little Miss A’s I allowed it to be used by her first with a LOT of pouting from the other two.

While just about anything Disney gets my kids all excited, this was a pretty neat tool.  Included is a smart stylus, a snazzy carrying case and a code for the app.  The Disney Creativity Studio App provides an immersive creative experience with all of their favorite Disney characters.  Little Miss A was so thrilled to be able to draw Mickey with ease.  I think she did a pretty good job, don’t you?  What I loved is that this isn’t just any ordinary Stylus.  This is Disney after all, you have to expect a little MAGIC!  It definitely is smart in more ways than one.  It wireless interacts with the app.  Your child can switch between a variety of drawing tools and stampers, adjusting line thickness along the way, and of course erase with a flip, just like a pen!  Oh and the magic?  Give the stylus a little SHAKE and get rewarded with a little magical art effect!  Little Miss A was squealing with delight!

While it provides hours and hours of entertainment, (Little Miss A is still animating upstairs as I type, type, type…) I was thrilled to find out it also works with the Disney Pixel’d App which can be found for FREE on iTunes as well… and everything on an iPad as the stylus makes for a nice fingerprint free screen!  While Little Miss A is still animating, my 3 year old is running around happily with the just case… that’s Disney love for you!

At the SRP  of $49.99, recommended for ages 4-8,   you can find the Disney Creativity Studio available at Apple stores and itunes.com.
