Oh Baby! First Annual New Mamas Expo

By the time my son was born, hard to believe, but the baby products landscape was completely different!  My toddler was born on the eve of the BPA crisis and at the time, BPA-free products were slim-picking and something more for the “green” mom.  These days BPA-free products are the gold standard and you don’t have to pay in gold to get them.  Along with these new products there are so many other amazing baby products out there from strollers to car seats to cool feeding gears and diaper bags.  A seasoned mom’s, let alone a new mom’s, head could spin right off with all these choices!

I’m so excited that the first annual New Mamas Expo (for pregnant and new mamas) will be held at the Forest Hills Jewish Center in Forest Hills, NY (my old stomping ground!).  New moms, seasoned moms, pregnant moms can get up to date on what’s new, what’s hot and what’s necessity vs. splurge!  I wasn’t clued in on these amazing events when I was first pregnant but I wish I was!  So if you know someone who is expecting or is a new mom, share!

The New Mamas Expo will be held on May 22nd from 2-6pm.  Tickets are are $15 in advance/$20 at the door. Kids are free and tons of fun activities for them are planned! MoonSoup will be on hand to entertain the kids.

Gift bags, chock full of swag (sample products), go to the first 200 registered guests and lots (lots!) of great baby essentials will be raffled off.

Britax, Stokke, Phil and Teds, iCandy, Giggle, Mama Mio, Maclaren, and many more will be on hand to show you what’s new in their lines.   Not to mention my very favorite photographer extraordinaire, Alysa Renee! They’ll have demos on How to BabyWear, Breastfeeding Q & A, BabyCare Basics, How to Install an Infant Car Seat, and much more.

So if you’re pregnant, a new mom or know of a new mom (to-be), go to http://www.queensmamas.com/expo for more information and to register!  See you there!
