Medela introduces FREE iBreastfeed for iPhone/iTouch

Medela just launched iBreastfeed which provides tools and resources to help moms successfully breastfeed! Moms can…

  • Get information on the benefits of breastmilk
  • Breastfeeding and pumping tips
  • Handy breastmilk storage guidelines
  • Instant access to other online resources
  • Add baby’s profile and up to 6 babies, if you so happen to have them, and easily keep track of breastfeeding, pumping, sleeping and diaper changes.
  • A neat feature includes the ability to send the log to their baby’s doctor.
  • Track activities for up to six babies.
  • Find breastfeeding- and breastpumping-friendly locations in your local area, and add your own personal locations.

I’m an iPhone gal so I’m thrilled to see this app, but I’d love to see an app for all the other mobile platforms, making breastfeeding tools a truly universal aid.

Thanks for posting this! I really wish there were iPhones when my kids were still babies. Anyway, I hope this app could also give some advice to women who don’t have enough breast milk or other problems.

By the way, if it’s alright, I’d like to recommend one of my current favorite apps, Intuition. Tagged as mom’s personal assistant, it’s a task management app that has many features designed to help us moms. It’s really easy to use and it looks cute, too. Plus, it’s free!
