Problem Solved…

In the ever long chemical fight, the battleground this time is laundry. In my quest for safe baby laundry detergent, this time, not only for Ava, but for my sensitive skin as well, I fell in love with Seventh Generations Free & Clear Laundry Detergent. Though Amazon’s Ship & Save program I was able to order in bulk. Their commitment to minimal packaging and my less driving back and forth to Target and contributing to the Carbon Footprint, I found to be a nice middle ground.

Although in previous years I loved my fabric softener, I wasn’t quite sold on the chemical used necessary for softening and de-static of my laundry, especially for my pure baby. My husband, a lover of static-free clothing wasn’t too happy about this UNTIL… I was recently introduced to an amazing brand. I had heard of this brand, but hadn’t seen it anywhere — for good reason, this is only sold through private distributors in a Mary Kay and Tupperware fashion. Received as a gift, I tried for the first time their HE Laundry Detergent and their… Fabric Softener. While I loved their detergent, the real star was their Fabric Softener Sheets.
At first looking at them, I was a little reluctant. They looked like wax paper sheets and the idea of them combined with heat in my dryer… didn’t seem like a good idea. Upon reading the box… I was a bit more open minded. Veggie based and biodegradable, they break up into two pieces in the dry for maximum distribution of soft and static free goodness. My favorite part, its unscented! Once you’re done, you can pop them in your recycling bin and you know how I love my recycling bin! I loved it so much, I decided to become a Shaklee Independent distributor myself! More on this to come…

OMG, that’s amazing! I never even thought about chemicals in the fabric softener. What a smart girl you are. Does that make me a bad mommy?
